WHAT WE DO

With your helping hand, we extend our commitment of fighting against poverty, unemployment, illiteracy, health and other significant challenges.

EDUCATION

Education holds the key to any major change and development and is essential to improving the condition of the traditionally oppressed communities. With the objective of imparting quality education, EFO Public School, a premium English Medium School, has been set up in Thul area of District Jacobabad. The school aims at preparing children from the weaker sections of society for a better life by bringing quality education within the reach of boys and girls. The School is managed under the supervision of the Executive Council of EFO and provides education up to the primary standard, with the vision to upgrade up to the secondary level. Apart from academic activities, extra-curricular activities are regularly organized at the school to promote social integration among students and for the mental growth of the enrolled students.

HEALTH

EFO has adopted a comprehensive, community-based strategy to rapidly and effectively expand health services. EFO’s mission is to establish health care centers, dispensaries, hospitals and to provide free medical treatment for the poor and deserving people in medical camps. Also, the ambulance service will be started to provide free pick and drop to the patients in an emergency situation and to assist the local administration where needed. The ambulance service staff will be capable of handling any emergency case and ensure the transportation to the nearest respected medical centers. The drivers will be trained and fully aware about the shortest route in order to reach the destinations in least time spans.

POVERTY ALLEVIATION

The country is passing through the economic stagnation and poverty is a major challenge. In response to the alarming poverty situation in the country, we have formulated a comprehensive model to alleviate poverty. There is a very famous Chinese proverb, “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime”. Based on this, our model comprises of the short term goals of giving those in need financial and food assistance and long term goals of providing assistance in the form of vocational training. According to the recent media survey, a large population of the country cannot afford the needed food and the average consumption decreases significantly as compared to the normal intake. To counter the issue, the food program encompasses distribution of food bags to the poor people. EFO also distributed food bags during the devastating flood in 2010 as well.

CIVIC SENSE

It is only humane for everyone to have some sense of respect for the needs of society. Civic Sense is vital and the impact of civic sense is enormous. When a large segment of the population understand their civic responsibility, it leads towards a great nation & bright future. It is widely believed by the community experts that creating civic sense is an ongoing process but the most effective way is to start with the children of the nation. Children can be taught civic sense and responsibility in the early stages of their development to ensure it becomes a part of their persona and has a long-lasting impact on every stage of their life cycle. EFO Civic Sense program targets children of school going children.

AGRICULTURE

Pakistan is an agriculture based country and 63% of the total population lives in the rural areas and their primary occupation is agriculture. EFO is committed to establishing self-sustainable income for the poor and needy. We are facilitating this cause by distributing seeds among the farmers for their crops.
